Playing games with the family is a great way to bond and enjoy time together. Currently, we only have a couple games and when we do play games together it is always a fun time. I was very excited when Hasbro contacted me to let me know I would be offered to review their Bejeweled Frenzy game. As you may be aware Bejeweled on Facebook is very popular and has a few different versions available.
The contents of this game include 84 cards, 7 boost gems, and a game case. In addition, the game comes with a link to redeem four Rare Gems to be used in the Bejeweled Blitz online game. Mobile device not included. To access the digital features, you must be 13 years or older and have a valid Facebook account. Additional terms and conditions apply to digital features offer.
The Objective of the game is to get the most points by building the tallest stack of collapsed cards and collecting the boost gems. Each player puts their card face up in front of them and the next card can be placed to the left or right of the card. Each card has 2 gems and if you match 3 gems across collapse the cards into a single stack, and choose one of the 3 cards to remain on top. In addition, once you collapse the stack you pick a boost gem. Boost gems are worth 5 points and will be added to the final score.
I have four children ages 5-13 and they all decided to play this game together. They found it really fun and even the 5 yr. had a fun time. The older children helped the younger ones play and got the hang of it after one round. They played the game 3 times and then the 11yr had enough, however, the 5yr and 7yr decided to continue playing. This is a game they will continue to use over and over again.
