StarLook StarBox Review
What is Starbox?
StarLook StarBox is a monthly subscription program that you pay $15.00 a month and $1.98 shipping and you will receive 3-4 full size beauty items each month. The value is approximately $30.00 – $35.00 for each box. You can pay each month, 6 months, and yearly subscriptions. Boxes are shipped 3rd week of the month and should arrive within 3-10 business days depending on location.
I received the August box and this box is Starlooks first ever special limited edition Starbox. This Starbox features makeup products hand-picked by fashion designer Lauren Bradley. The colors featured in this box were used on Lauren in her first Lookbook featuring her newly released lingerie line Le Sang Bleu. When you get your Starbox inside you will find a card explaining everything you received and the value of each item. In this special edition box there is an autographed card of Lauren Bradley. In each Starbox there is a mystic crystal. It is believed that mystic crystals attract energy, maintain focus, and are the ultimate symbol of beauty.
Let’s get to the items inside the box! I am sure you are all curious to see what we have.
I received three items in my box this month. I will show you each one and talk about them.
Sculpture Infinity Cream liner. This cream liner is very creamy and pigmented. The color is a smokey, neutral charcoal that can be paired with any makeup color, lipstick, and outfit you choose to wear. One can wear this day or night. This is waterproof and smudge proof. If you love the sultry eye this eyeliner can create a great sultry eye look. Starlook retail value $9.00
This is not my best attempt to putting on eyeliner as it was really late at night and I did not use my primer. Primer over the eyes before applying eyeliner in my book is paramount, as it will help keep your eyeshadow and eyeliner more intact especially during the heat. I did this in the dark as the kids were sleeping. However, you get an idea how pretty this eyeliner is in color. I thought it was pigmented well in color and it applied on smooth. You do not need a mass of color on the brush at one time. This eyeliner is going to match well with my smokey eye palette. If you want to create a smokey eye this eyeliner will smudge nicely before it dries
Pointed Slant Eyeliner Brush. This eyeliner brush creates a perfect line for the top of the eyelid. In addition this brush is 100% synthetic Japanese Nylon. This in turn allows the brush to glide over the lid with flexibility and ease. No grabbing or gathering of the eyelids during application. Starlook retail value is $12.00
My Verdict – I thought this brush was great for applying eyeliner. Dip the brush gently into your cream eyeliner and then glide it across your lash line as close as possible to your eyelash. For beginners you can use a pencil to map it out on your eyelash line first before applying the cream eyeliner. I do not use this on my waterline. I recommend using pencil eyeliner for the waterline or you can use this brush with the cream eyeliner below the waterline
This is the Pink Petal Rose lipgloss. This lip gloss is very creamy and has a nice light pink color. It works great when paired with a lipstick. In addition, it is very shiny and glossy. Starlook retail price of $11.00
As you can see the color is not very bright. However it has incredible shine. If I was to use a lipstick in a darker color it would make it pop with this on top. I love lipgloss because you can create many different looks with them.
My verdict of the box
I loved my box this month. The total value of this box is $32.00. For only $15.00 a month plus $1.98 shipping you can get this value as well. Check them out and give it a try. Let them know Tricia’s Treasures sent you. I am not affiliated nor receive any compensation for that.
