Defeat Germs with safeHands

Holiday Gift Guide Selection 2012
Capture
Have you ever used hand sanitizer and your hands feel dry after? Even when the alcohol based sanitizers have aloe in them they tend to leave your hands dry. Now with safeHands® and safeSquirts® your hands and your child's hands do not have to feel dry. Now with safeHands and safe  safeSquirts® your hands and your child's hands do not have to feel dry. When safeHands asked me if I would like to try their products I was hesitant at first because I do not like hand sanitizer with alcohol as my skin tends to get dry. When I continued to read about their products I learned that they were alcohol free!!! I quickly jumped on the opportunity because with flu season approaching and four children in tow we need to have some precautions in place.

safeHands is the world’s first line of alcohol free hand sanitizer which was founded by a former dentist Dr. Jay Reubens.” Dr David Dyer a world-renowned scientist specializing in Benzalkonium Chloride (the active ingredient in safeHands® products) partnered up with Dr Jay to help create safeHands. Dr Jay wanted the public to know the truths about alcohol based hand sanitizers and that safeHands is a healthy, non-toxic, germ fighting alternative that exists today.
SAFEHANDS
safeHands launched April 2012, and because of back to school and holidays approaching the launch for safeSquirts moved up quickly and is now available. Alcohol based sanitizer can be very dangerous if ingested. If a child tasted hand sanitizer I am sure they would not like the taste. However, with children it is not worth the risk of alcohol poisoning to see if they would continue to eat it. The typical amount of exposure is 1-2 pumps of hand sanitizer and 70% alcohol (ethanol, Isopropyl) which usually does not give an issue to a toddler. However, According to the American Association of Poison Control Centers, they are receiving more of the calls as hand sanitizer use is increasing. Combined data from 2005 and 2006 found that poison-control centers reported more than 20,000 exposures to hand sanitizer. (Lakeviewhealth) You can now eliminate any kind of poisoning from happening and reduce emergency room and hospital visits by using safeHands and safe Squirts!
safeHands classic line comes in three different scents. Below is the classic line of scents of safeHands. I received the advance tester of two scents the clean linen and green cucumber mint. I did not receive the unscented which will be clear in color. I will show you pictures of what the advance tester looks like and one of the clean linen non advance tester. The advance tester look does not have anything to do with the quality of the product.

My Verdict
When these arrived at my house my kids were home and were wondering what kind of exciting item I got this time. I opened the package and to my surprise were safeHands and safeSquirts®  I told them it’s hand sanitizer. My six and five year old was enthusiastic as always as they love to see my goodies. My six year old said we can only use a little right mom? I said well not now, this is safe for you as it has no alcohol in it so you can use as much as you want! I always told my kids that they can only use a very tiny bit of regular hand sanitizer due to the alcohol being able to be absorbed through their skin. Both my children put a few pumps in their hands and loved it!! They thought the green was lime scented. I then told them all the scents and their favorite was Bubble Gum. My son ended up with the stomach bug a few weeks ago and I grabbed my safeHands and put it next to my bed so every time I got up with him I sprayed a couple pumps in my hand to stay germ free. I used it around the clock and so did my children. None of the other kids got sick and this is not usually the case as I have four children, and when one gets sick all four get sick! Thank you safeHands for keeping my family germ free!
This holiday season one reader will have the chance to win a advance tester pack of classic safeHands and safeSquirts®. Thank you safeHands!! Keep your eyes peeled soon for your chance to win.

  1. No triclasone i'm guessing and hoping! I'd love to try out these unique scents. sanitizers always come in yucky scents, unless you go to bath and body work and they are not all natural. Great review!

    2. Ali, From what I can read on the bottle it does not contain that ingredient. The writing is fairly small. However, I could see enough that it does not have anything that sounds like that. I will investigate it further though to make sure.
